There is a stir in the politics of Uttarakhand. BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt has made the sharpest attack on Urmila Sanawar till date on the ‘Gattu Controversy’ related to Ankita Bhandari murder case. Bhatt claimed that a video has surfaced of Urmila’s ‘original husband’ allegedly saying that she can do anything for money.
This whole uproar increased further when Urmila Sanawar, who claimed to be the wife of former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore, released a video. In this he had made a serious allegation and said that a big BJP leader named ‘Gattu’ is the VVIP due to which Ankita Bhandari was murdered. In response to these allegations, Mahendra Bhatt called Urmila a ‘toy’ of Congress and raised questions on her very existence.
Instead of remaining silent, Urmila Sanawar launched a strong counter attack by releasing another video on the night of 24th December. He claimed that Mahendra Bhatt knows him well and had earlier even offered to contest the assembly elections.
Bhatt took a tougher stand
While talking to the media in Pauri, Mahendra Bhatt made his stand more strict. He said that whatever he says, he says on the basis of evidence. Bhatt alleged that Congress was using this woman. He said, “I have come to know about a video of her original husband, in which he is saying that she can go to any extent for money.”
Terming it as ‘lowliness’ of Congress, Bhatt said that a conspiracy is going on in the state to defame the scheduled society. He said in a warning tone that if anything else was asked from him about me, even the Brahmin community of Uttarakhand would not forgive him.
The controversy does not seem to end here. Urmila Sanawar has also shared a post on social media today on 25th December. In this, she has announced to come live again at 8.30 pm, due to which speculations are being made that she may make some other big revelation in the evening.
