Big claim in Ukraine war: Russia captured this settlement of Donetsk, panic till Black Sea
Russia Ukraine War Hindi News: Tension is continuously increasing in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Thursday that its forces have gained full control of the Sviato-Pokrovske settlement located in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region. This settlement is located to the south-west of the strategically important city of Siversk. According to Russian officials, the action was part of a so-called ‘Special Military Operation’ Done under.
In a statement issued by the Defense Ministry, it was said that after decisive military action, units of the Southern Military Group have liberated this settlement. Russian media say that the capture of this area can further strengthen Russia’s position in eastern Ukraine, although there is currently no official reaction from Ukraine on this claim.
Huge loss due to drone attacks
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry also claimed that in the last 24 hours, Russian air defense systems shot down six bombs, an American HIMARS rocket and 472 fixed-wing drones in the Special Military Operation Zone. These figures point to the increasing use of drones and long-range weapons in war.
Panic on the Black Sea coast
On the other hand, there are reports of heavy damage due to drone attacks in Russia’s southern Krasnodar region. Two oil storage tanks caught fire after a drone strike in the port of Temryuk on the Black Sea coast, according to local authorities. It is a matter of relief that no casualties were reported in this incident. The fire spread over an area of about 2,000 square meters and 70 firefighters and 18 pieces of equipment were deployed to extinguish it.
Industrial structures and agricultural equipment damaged
Additionally, Nikolaevka village in the Krasnodar region was also targeted during the night where several industrial structures and agricultural equipment were damaged. Earlier, on Monday, Ukrainian drones attacked the Taman port located in the Volna settlement, destroying two ferries and two tankers. Two storage tanks were also damaged by drone debris.

Both Temryuk and Taman are major ports located on the Black Sea, which are considered very important for the export of oil and petroleum products to Russia. Attacks on these can become a major challenge for Russia’s energy supply and export strategy.
Situation tense in Moscow also
Meanwhile, the situation in Moscow also remains tense. On 22 December, Russian Army Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov was killed in a car explosion. According to Russian security agencies, explosives were planted under his car on Yasenevaya Street in southern Moscow. As soon as the car moved forward, there was a massive explosion, in which he was seriously injured and later died during treatment. Authorities have not ruled out a Ukrainian angle to the attack.
