On the GoFundMe page, her aunt Kira Halpern wrote, ‘Imani leaves behind a 3-year-old son, her parents, two younger siblings and a family and friends who loved her very much. He further wrote that Imani had her whole life ahead of her. She was cheerful, loving and extremely talented.

Giving information on the fundraiser page, he said that all the money received through GoFundMe will be used for funeral and memorial expenses, cleaning of Smith’s house, treatment and care of his family, legal expenses related to the proceedings and the care of Smith’s dog.
