The incidents of violence are not stopping
Amid Sheikh Hasina’s statement, another violent incident has come to light from Bangladesh. A Hindu youth was beaten to death by a mob in Pangsha upazila of Rajbari district on Thursday night. This incident took place in Hosendanga village of Kalimohar Union at around 11 pm.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Amrit Mandal alias Samrat, who was a resident of the same village. It is alleged that the mob attacked him accusing him of extortion, due to which he died on the spot. However, the police is now trying to portray the deceased as the culprit, due to which there is resentment among human rights organizations and minority communities.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Debrata Sarkar has confirmed the incident and said that an investigation will be done, but such continuous incidents have raised questions on law and order and impartial investigation process. Local people say that in cases of violence against minorities, the victims are often blamed.
