Yashasvi will be seen making waves with the bat for Mumbai before the start of the ODI series against New Zealand. During the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament, Yashasvi’s health suddenly deteriorated and he had to be admitted to the hospital.

Mumbai has started the Vijay Hazare Tournament with a resounding win. In the first match, the team defeated Sikkim by 8 wickets. Batting first, Sikkim team could score only 236 runs on the score board after losing 7 wickets in 50 overs. Mumbai easily chased the target of 237 runs in just 30.3 overs. On behalf of the team, Rohit Sharma wreaked havoc with the bat and played a memorable inning of 155 runs in 94 balls, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi contributed 38 runs.
