The birth anniversaries of Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya and Atal Bihari Vajpayee were celebrated.

Under the auspices of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth National Service Scheme Unit I and III, a Shramdaan program was organized by volunteers on the occasion of the birth anniversary and Good Governance Day of Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee on 25 December 2025. In this event, volunteers gave the message of cleanliness by doing cleanliness work in NTPC campus and surrounding local settlements.

On this occasion, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Yadav, in-charge of the organization who was presiding over the program, appealed to the volunteers to be aware of Shramdaan, social service and good governance. Social worker Gulab Singh, the chief guest of the program, threw light on the personality of Malviya ji and Atal ji and reiterated his resolve to keep the present society connected with their personality and work and said that good governance is the basic mantra of development. As a special guest, social worker Harishankar Gupta threw light on the good governance campaign being run by the Uttar Pradesh government and said that this campus of NTPC is playing a leading role in propagating modern education, in which students are being made aware of social service.

During this, a discussion was organized among the students on the topic “Good Governance and Development”, in which a large number of students participated. Program Officer Dr. Vinod Kumar Pandey welcomed the guests by giving them clothes and flowers. The program was conducted and the vote of thanks was done by Program Officer Dr. Chhotalal Prasad. In the function, mainly the role of volunteers like Prabha Sondhia, Khushi Verma, Poonam, Anjana Purti, Jyoti, Shalini, Saloni, Ayesha Parveen, Vishesh Jaiswal, Himanshu, Ashutosh Upadhyay, Rohit, Neeraj, Pankaj etc. was commendable.
