According to the Meteorological Department, on Friday (December 26), the maximum temperature of the capital Delhi is likely to be between 21 to 23 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 7 to 9 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 6.5 degrees Celsius, which was about one degree less than normal. Due to increasing cold at night, people were seen resorting to warm clothes.
Fog alert for next two days
The meteorological department has issued an alert regarding fog for the next two days. It is estimated that light to moderate fog may persist in most areas of Delhi. Visibility is likely to be low, especially in the morning, which may affect road and rail traffic.
At the same time, the situation is a little relieved during the day. The Meteorological Department says that there may be light clouds during the day, but there is also a possibility of bright sunshine. Due to sunshine the maximum temperature still remains above normal. Due to sunshine in the afternoon, the effect of cold is felt a little less.

There has been news of relief regarding the air of Delhi amid winter. A decline in pollution levels has been recorded in the capital for the second consecutive day. Improvement in air quality was seen due to strong sunlight and wind throughout the day. At present AQI has been recorded at 286, which falls in the poor category, but the situation remains better than before.
However, according to the air quality early warning system, if the wind speed slows down, the pollution level may again reach the very poor category in the next 24 hours. India Meteorological Department has also indicated that with the change in weather the pollution level is likely to increase once again.
