On Thursday, the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 6.5 degrees Celsius, which was about one degree less than normal. Due to increasing cold at night, people were seen resorting to warm clothes.

The meteorological department has issued an alert regarding fog for the next two days. It is estimated that light to moderate fog may persist in most areas of Delhi. Visibility is likely to be low, especially in the morning, which may affect road and rail traffic.

The Meteorological Department says that there may be light clouds during the day, but there is also a possibility of bright sunshine. Due to sunshine the maximum temperature still remains above normal. Due to sunshine in the afternoon, the effect of cold is felt a little less.

Improvement in air quality was seen due to strong sunlight and wind throughout the day. However, according to the air quality early warning system, if the wind speed slows down, the pollution level may again reach the very poor category in the next 24 hours.
