Cricket 26 December 2025: Highest innings in ODI match India’s local one-day tournament, Vijay Hazare Trophy, started on Wednesday. A total of 22 centuries were scored on the first day of the 2025-26 season. Bihar recorded the highest score in List A cricket history. Meanwhile, Saqibul Ghani scored the fastest century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, scoring a century in 32 balls. Odisha’s Swastika Samale scored 212 runs.

Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper-batsman N. Jagadeesan holds the record for most innings in List A cricket history. He scored 277 runs in 141 balls against Arunachal Pradesh on November 21, 2022. In this record list, Eddie Brown (268 runs) is at second place and Rohit Sharma (264 runs) is at third place.

Saqibul Ghani’s fastest century

Bihar captain Saqibul Ghani completed his century in 32 balls on Wednesday, which is the fastest century by an Indian in men’s List A cricket. On Wednesday, Jharkhand captain Ishan Kishan completed his century in 33 balls. Meanwhile, Bihar’s Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a century in 36 balls. He played a explosive inning of 190 runs.

This happened for the first time in history

For the first time in the history of Vijay Hazare Trophy, three batsmen have scored centuries in one innings. For Bihar, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, captain Saqibul Ghani and Ayush Anand scored centuries. All three players completed their centuries in less than 50 balls, which is an important record. Bihar made a huge score of 574 runs, which is the highest team score in List A cricket.
