On its 21st day in theatres, Dhurandhar registered a sharp jump in collections. According to Sack, Rs 26 crore was earned on December 25. This marked one of the film’s strongest weekday performances. With that, the domestic total climbed to Rs 633.50 crore. Worldwide earnings have already crossed the Rs 900 crore mark, placing the film firmly among modern box office giants.

The espionage thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, has benefited from sustained word-of-mouth and repeat viewings. Hindi occupancy on Christmas stood at 46.50 per cent, showing robust footfalls across circuits. Morning shows opened steadily, while evening and night shows saw strong crowds.

Avatar: Fire and Ash box office collection worldwide

In contrast, Avatar: Fire and Ash delivered a solid but measured run in India. Despite heavy competition, the sci-fi epic found festive support. On Day 7, Rs 13.50 crore was collected, pushing its India total to Rs 109.65 crore. English occupancy reached an impressive 56.51 per cent on Christmas, reflecting strong urban turnout.

Globally, James Cameron’s spectacle has continued to dominate. As per Box Office Mojo, worldwide earnings have reached USD 483.3 million. While the film could not displace Dhurandhar domestically, its international performance has remained formidable.

Meanwhile, Christmas brought unexpected relief for You are mine, you are mine, you are mine, you are mine. The Kartik Aaryan–Ananya Panday starrer opened stronger than anticipated. Despite weak morning shows, momentum picked up at night. According to Sack, Rs 7.25 crore nett was earned on Day 1. Trade expectations had pegged the opening closer to Rs 5 crore.

The festive boost proved decisive. Evening shows filled up, and the film managed to hold its ground despite Dhurandhar’s dominance. For a romantic comedy facing a box office juggernaut, the opening was viewed as encouraging.
