General Hospital’s Ryan Paevey recently opened up about his character Nathan and Lulu’s evolving relationship. While nothing is official yet, Paevey believes that there is “definitely chemistry” between the two characters.

Ryan Paevey says there’s ‘definitely chemistry’ between Lulu and Nathan on General Hospital
Following a long hiatus, Ryan Paevey reprised his role as Nathan West in General Hospital, bringing his character back from the dead. Meanwhile, Maxie, Nathan’s love interest before he died in 2018, was recently written into a coma because the actress stepped away from the role to tend to her medical issues.
At the same time, Lulu, Maxie’s best friend and Dante’s ex-wife, who was also Nathan’s partner, is currently in emotional turmoil. This combination of scenarios has allowed the writers to spark a connection between Nathan and Lulu.
Recently, Paevey hinted at a possible relationship between the two characters. “It’s always good to have a love interest on a soap, and Nathan could certainly do worse than Lulu,” he told Woman’s World. “Will we or won’t we? We have a lot in common, so we commiserate. And there’s definitely chemistry there, so I’m interested to see.”
The actor believes that their relationship could make for a good story. He said, “From a storyline standpoint, that’s some good drama. Nathan and Dante, back in the day, were best friends, and then Maxie and Lulu… There’s all kinds of friction there.”
The Christmas At The Plaza actor then praised his costar, Alexa Havins, who plays Lulu. He shared, “And working with Alexa is awesome. We have fallen into a very comfortable, easy routine. We get the nuts and bolts of the scene down, and then we’re free to play.”
The 41-year-old actor also admitted that he’s not sure when Kirsten Storm, who plays Maxie, will return to the show. But when and if she does come back, Paevey said that he is “curious to see how these things evolve and how serious they get.”
Interestingly, Storm recently hinted at returning to the show in an Instagram post. She ended the caption for the post, writing, “HAPPY HOLIDAYS and maaaaybe you will be seeing me back in Port Charles soon.”
