He has been seen many times speaking openly on the popular issues of the country. Recently, Jhanvi reacted to the brutal killing of 27-year-old Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. He expressed his anger over the cruelty meted out to a Hindu man and termed it ‘genocide’.

While sharing a story on her Instagram, Jhanvi Kapoor wrote – ‘What is happening in Bangladesh is barbarity. This is genocide and is not an isolated incident. If you don’t know about this inhumane public lynching, read about it, watch videos, ask questions.

Jhanvi further wrote- ‘And if despite all this you do not get angry, then this hypocrisy will destroy us in no time. We will continue to cry over what is happening on the other side of the world, while our own brothers and sisters are being burnt to death. It is important to condemn and oppose extremism in any form before we forget our humanity.

In fact, on December 18, Dipu Chandra Das was beaten to death by a mob in Bhaluka, Mymensingh in Bangladesh and then tied to a tree and burnt. This man, who worked in a Hindu textile factory, was allegedly accused of blasphemy. Police have so far arrested 12 people in this case.
