In future, this ID will be the most important document to avail the benefits of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi and other subsidized schemes. Farmers who do not have this ID will not get the benefits of government schemes.
Farmer ID is a unique digital identity, which can also be called ‘Farmer Identity Card’. It will contain complete information about the farmer’s land, crops to be sown, and government schemes received by him.
What benefits will you get?
With the help of this card, farmers will get the next installments of PM-Kisan without any interruption. There will be no need to do repeated paperwork to get KCC or agricultural loan. It will be easy to claim the insurance amount in case of crop failure. This ID may be mandatory for subsidy on fertilizers and seeds.
How to make Farmer ID
Farmers can get their ID made online or by visiting the nearest centre. Its process is given below.
- First of all login to the official website of the Ministry of Farmers Welfare.
- It is mandatory to link your form with Aadhaar card. Upload Aadhaar number, an OTP will come on your registered mobile.
- Upload your Khasra-Khatauni and land documents.
- After this update your passport size photo and bank information.
- After confirming all this information, your local agriculture officer will check the data. Once the investment is complete, your digital former investment will be the same.
