Indore’s Queen Ahilyabai Holkar’s biopic will be made, not Deepika-Priyanka, ‘Baahubali’ actress will play the lead role
Ahilyabhai Holkar: A biopic is going to be made on Queen Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore, the shooting of which will start in the year 2026. Director Dev Manoria is making this film. He has given information about the starcast of the biopic.
Ahilyabhai Holkar Biopic: If you too are waiting for a new biopic then there is good news for you. Shooting of the biopic on Queen Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore is going to start in the year 2026. Director Dev Manoriya is going to make this film on Goddess Ahilyabai Holkar. The interesting thing is that the lead role in this film may not be actress Priyanka Chopra or Deepika Padukone but South actress Anushka Shetty of the Rs 1800 crore film Baahubali 2. Dev Manoria has given information about this.
Filmmaker Dev Maneria gave information
Announcing the biopic on Queen Ahilyabai Holkar, director and actor Dev Maneria said- ‘We are celebrating the 300th birth anniversary of the queen and this is the right time to make a film about her. In the film, I will play the character of her husband, Khanderao Holkar. While talking about the cast of the film, Dev said, ‘It is too early to reveal the complete cast. We are in advanced stages of talks with Bahubali-fame actress Anushka Shetty, but we have not signed her yet.
Preparation for biopic begins
Preparations for shooting the biopic on Goddess Ahilyabai Holkar have also started. Actor-filmmaker Dev Maneria told that the film will be shot in Varanasi, Prayagraj and Lucknow. Apart from this, some portions and montage will also be shot in Indore.

Construction of many temples from Kashi to Somnath
Queen Ahilyabai Holkar had renovated and constructed many temples including Kashi Vishwanath, Somnath Temple Gujarat, Neelkanth Mahadev Temple Petladev. Apart from this, Maheshwar Fort was built, ghats were built in Maheshwar, Dharamshalas were built in different areas of the country and the pilgrimage sites of South India were developed.
Let us tell you that this year i.e. in 2025, the 300th birth anniversary of the heroic goddess Ahilyabai Holkar was celebrated across the country. On this occasion, on May 31, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also released a commemorative coin of Rs 300 with the picture of Goddess Ahilyabai Holkar.
