There is no decline in the price of silver, highest price in Chennai

New Delhi. A slight rise in the price of silver has been recorded in the domestic bullion market today. Today, the price of this shiny metal has increased by only Rs 100 per kg in most of the bullion markets across the country. Due to this surge in prices, today silver is being sold at prices ranging from Rs 2,33,900 per kg to Rs 2,45,100 per kg in different bullion markets of the country.

Today the price of silver in Delhi has reached the level of Rs 2,34,100 per kg. Similarly, in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kolkata, silver is trading at Rs 2,33,900. Whereas in Jaipur, Surat and Pune, silver remains at the level of Rs 2,34,200 per kg.

Whereas in Bengaluru, silver is trading at Rs 2,34,400 per kg and in Patna and Bhubaneswar, silver is trading at Rs 2,34,000 per kg. Apart from this, silver is being sold at the level of Rs 2,44,100 per kg in Hyderabad. The highest price of silver in the country is still in Chennai, where this shiny metal remains at the level of Rs 2,45,100 per kg.

Experts say that a major reason for this rise in prices is the shortage of silver in the market and the continuous increase in demand. Now people are buying silver not only as jewelery but also as a safe investment. Investment in silver ETFs is continuously increasing, which has further strengthened the demand. Apart from this, the expectation of reduction in interest rates in America in the coming days and the fear of China banning the export of silver after 2026 have also supported the prices.

Tarakeshwar Nath Vaishnav, CEO of TNV Financial Services, says that silver has overtaken gold this year in terms of returns. While the price of gold has increased by about 65 percent in 2025, the price of silver has increased by more than 120 percent.

The demand for silver is increasing rapidly in industries related to solar panels, green energy and new technology. It is clear that demand is increasing and supply is limited. Because of this, the price of silver is continuously reaching new heights and its prices remain at a high level.
