New Delhi: The year 2025 has ended with a historic achievement at the Indian box office. The espionage thriller film ‘Dhurandhar’, directed by Aditya Dhar, has crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark globally within just 21 days of its release. This achievement is being considered a big milestone not only for the film but also for Hindi cinema.
This film starring Ranveer Singh has won the title of the highest grossing Indian film of the year 2025. ‘Dhurandhar’ has created a new history at the box office, leaving behind the global lifetime collection of Rishabh Shetty directed ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’.
Record created in 21 days
According to the press release issued by the film team, the global earnings of ‘Dhurandhar’ have reached Rs 1,006.7 crore. In India, the film has made a net collection of Rs 668.80 crore. In just 20 days, the film had crossed the Rs 944 crore mark and the excellent earnings on the 21st day took it into the Rs 1,000 crore club.
The craze continued even in the third week
Usually, the earnings of films start weakening in the third week, but ‘Dhurandhar’ completely reversed this trend. On the 21st day, the film earned around Rs 28.6 crore at the domestic box office, which was almost equal to its opening day collection. This is the reason why the pace of the film did not seem to stop even in the third week.
