Malavika Mohanan explains how she juggled between Sardar 2, Hridayapoorvam, and The Raja Saab

Actor Malavika Mohanan has been having a busy year, working simultaneously on three films in contrasting genres. She is part of Sardar 2an espionage thriller with Karthi, the slice-of-life drama Hridayapurvam co-starring Mohanlal, and the “out-and-out horror comedy” The Raja Saabalso starring Prabhas. While Hridayapurvam has already hit theatres, both Sardar 2 and The Raja Saab are yet to release theatrically. From Malavika’s point of view, however, she had to work on these films at the same time, something which some actors find challenging. Speaking to Galatta Plus about how she dealt with the challenge in a recent interview, the actor said, “All three were such different genres and such different films, but it came down to sort of finding the specific character and being authentic to that character.”

Malavika said that she was conscious of not changing her acting style too dramatically just because the genres of these films differ. The actor also said that she was not attempting to be “loud for the sake of it just because the film’s genre is a particular way.”
