Durg. A woman died in a road accident on Friday morning under Pulgaon police station in Durg district of Chhattisgarh. The deceased has been identified as Uttara Deshmukh, resident of Kolhiapuri. She was working as a sweeper in KPS School, Durg.
According to the information received from the police, the woman had left her home for school for duty. She was crossing the road on foot at Pulgaon Chowk around 7 in the morning. Meanwhile, suddenly an unknown vehicle coming at high speed hit him. The collision was so severe that the woman died on the spot. After the incident, the assailant fled along with the vehicle. After the information, the police reached the spot, established a route and started investigation.
Pulgaon police station in-charge Amit Adani said that KPS School Durg employee Uttara Deshmukh (50 years), resident of Kolhiapuri, was walking to her workplace this morning. Around 7:00 in the morning, he was hit by an unknown vehicle at Pulgaon Chowk. Uttara Deshmukh died on the spot in this accident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and after inspecting the incident, registered a case against the unknown vehicle and took it under investigation.
