Bhubaneswar: Odisha girls lifted the East Zone Sub-Junior ASMITA Hockey Championship on Friday.
In a closely-contested final at Guwahati’s Tayabulla Hockey Stadium, Odisha notched up a thrilling 4-3 victory over Mizoram.
Odisha were head and shoulders above other teams in the group league stage.
An unprecedented 50-0 triumph over Tripura was followed by a 22-0 thrashing of Tripura, before Odisha overcame Mizoram 5-1 in the league engagements.
