Cold has started oppressing Delhi. There is a continuous decline in the temperature of Delhi, due to which the cold is continuously increasing. Even today, the minimum temperature of Delhi is expected to be 7 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be 22 degrees Celsius. The cold may increase further in the coming days in the capital. The temperature of Delhi is likely to drop further in the next two days.

The minimum temperature of Delhi is expected to reach 6 degrees Celsius on December 28. There is no hope for the people of Delhi to get respite from the cold in the last days of the year. Snowfall continues in the hilly states. Now forecast of rain and snowfall has been made for the coming days also. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Muzaffarabad between December 27 and 31. There are chances of rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 26, 30 and 31 December, due to which the cold may increase further in the hilly areas.

Possibility of dense fog in these states

The minimum temperature in Chhattisgarh is likely to fall by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in the next three days. There is no possibility of any major change in the minimum temperature in the rest of the country for the next seven days. A warning has also been issued regarding fog and cold wave. Dense fog is likely to prevail over Bihar till December 31, Assam and Meghalaya till December 30 and parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during night and morning hours,

Visibility may remain very low due to dense fog in many areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Western Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, there is a possibility of cold wave in West Rajasthan, North Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Chandigarh from 26 to 30 December. Cold day conditions may occur in Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from 26 to 28 December, while cold will continue in some areas of Uttarakhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh.

How will the weather be in South India?

Talking about South India, there is a possibility of rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds at high speed in Andaman and Nicobar Islands from 27 to 31 December. Regarding the temperature, it is predicted that the minimum temperature in Assam may drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius during the next two days, while after this there will be no major change for the next five days.
