Mumbai’s young cricketer Angkrish Raghuvanshi sustained a serious injury during a Vijay Hazare Trophy match. He was badly hurt while attempting to take a catch during fielding and was taken to the hospital on a stretcher. However, after examination at the hospital, he was discharged as no serious injury was found. Angkrish Raghuvanshi is part of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team in the IPL.

The Vijay Hazare Trophy match between Mumbai and Uttarakhand was played in Jaipur on Friday, with Mumbai winning by 51 runs. Mumbai batted first, scoring 331 runs for the loss of seven wickets, while Uttarakhand could only manage 280 runs for nine wickets in their 50 overs.

Incident occurred in the 30th over of Uttarakhand’s innings

During the 30th over of Uttarakhand’s innings, Angkrish Raghuvanshi was injured while attempting to catch a shot from Saurabh Rawat. On a delivery from Tanush Kotian, Uttarakhand batter Saurabh Rawat attempted a slog sweep, but due to poor timing, the ball went towards mid-wicket. Angkrish Raghuvanshi ran and tried to take a one-handed catch, but failed. He fell, injuring his shoulder and hitting his head on the ground. After the injury, he remained kneeling for a few seconds before lying down on the ground. A stretcher was quickly brought onto the field, and he was taken to the hospital.

Discharged from hospital after examination

Angkrish Raghuvanshi was kept under observation at SDMH Hospital in Jaipur, where all necessary scans and medical tests were conducted. However, the 21-year-old Raghuvanshi has been discharged from the hospital after the examination, and he has returned to the team hotel after the scans revealed no serious injuries.

Raghuvanshi could only score 11 runs in the match

Angkrish Raghuvanshi opened the innings with Rohit Sharma in the match. He could not make an impact in this match and was dismissed after scoring only 11 runs. Rohit Sharma couldn’t even open his account, but thanks to the valuable contributions of wicketkeeper-batsman Hardik Tamore (93 not out off 82 balls), Sarfaraz Khan (55 off 49 balls), and Musheer Khan (55 off 56 balls), Mumbai scored 331 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Musheer Khan later also impressed with the ball, taking two wickets for 57 runs. Thanks to a brilliant innings of 96 runs by left-handed opener Yuvraj Chaudhary, Uttarakhand could only manage 280 runs for the loss of nine wickets.
