Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award to Yogita Mandavi of Kondagaon
Raipur : Yogita Mandavi, a talented girl from Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh, has made the state and the country proud by her excellent performance in the field of judo. Yogita, who grew up in Kondagaon, a girls’ home run by the Chhattisgarh State Child Welfare Council, has been awarded the prestigious Prime Minister’s National Child Award for her remarkable sporting achievements.
This national honor was presented to Yogita Mandavi by President Smt. Draupadi Murmu in a grand ceremony organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. At the function, selected talented children from across the country were honored for their outstanding contribution in various fields like sports, innovation, social service, art and culture etc.
It is noteworthy that Yogita Mandavi has shown her extraordinary talent in the sport of Judo at an early age. At the age of just 13, he achieved the status of the best judo player of the state. After this, he demonstrated his continuous progress and determination by winning medals continuously in various national level competitions.
Expressing happiness over this achievement of Yogita Mandavi, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai wished her a bright future and said that the success of talented children inspires the new generation to move forward and realize their dreams. Yogita’s achievement is not only a matter of pride for Chhattisgarh, but is also a strong source of inspiration for the children living in girls’ homes and child welfare institutions. He has proved that not the limitations of resources, but dedication and hard work towards dreams is the real basis of success.
