Tata’s electric SUVs
Tata Motors is currently focusing on electric vehicles. The company is likely to launch the Tata Sierra EV and the all-new Punch EV in FY 2026. This will be followed by the launch of the Avinya range by the end of the year, which will be Tata’s premium electric SUV.
The Sierra EV could be offered with two battery options, which is likely to have a range of over 500 kilometers. The Punch EV will see changes in both the design and interior. The Avinya is based on JLR’s EMA architecture and is expected to be Tata’s most premium EV.
New Renault Duster and Nissan Tecton
Renault has officially announced that the new generation Duster will be launched in India on January 26, 2026. The SUV will be built on the CMF-B platform and will initially be available in petrol engine options. The design and interior will be more modern than before.

Maruti Suzuki will foray into the EV segment for the first time with the fully electric SUV e Vitara. The SUV will be based on the new Heartect-e platform. It will get 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery options. The range of this SUV can go up to 543 kilometers with a large battery. Interestingly, this SUV has received a 5-star safety rating from India NCAP.
Mahindra XUV 7XO and Vision S
Mahindra will be introducing an updated version of its popular XUV700 called the XUV 7XO. The SUV is likely to get a premium cabin with a triple screen along with a new design. Apart from this, the production version of the Vision S concept may also hit the market by the end of 2026. This SUV will be smaller in size than the Scorpio-N but will offer powerful performance.
Hyundai Compact EV and New Kia Seltos
Hyundai is set to launch its first locally produced compact electric SUV in India in 2026, which could be based on the global Inster model. On the other hand, the new generation Kia Seltos prices will be announced on January 2, 2026. Apart from this, Kia may also introduce the Sorento Hybrid in the Indian market next year.
