UP is becoming the emerging digital hub of the country under the leadership of CM Yogi, IT sector gets new expansion
Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh is rapidly making its mark as a major IT and digital hub of the country. The effect of the policies and strong administrative system implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is now clearly visible on the ground. IT companies are continuously expanding in the state, which is creating new opportunities for employment generation, investment and technological innovation. Of these, about 400 IT companies are registered in the state under Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).

IT companies operating in Uttar Pradesh include startups, medium enterprises and large global companies. These companies are mainly working on software development, ITES, cloud services and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based services. IT expert Pradeep Yadav says that due to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of promoting the technology sector, the inclination of IT companies towards Uttar Pradesh is increasing.
Noida and Greater Noida have established themselves as the biggest IT destination of Uttar Pradesh. Which is working in providing services based on data centers and new technologies. Apart from this, cities like Kanpur and Varanasi are also rapidly becoming emerging digital centres, which is strengthening the balanced development of the state. About 400 units are registered in the state under Software Technology Parks of India. These units are playing an important role in IT exports. IT experts say that by the year 2026, the number of STPI registered units in the state will exceed 500.
Major companies like Microsoft, TCS, HCL, Wipro, Infosys, Paytm and Adobe are operating on a large scale in Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, about 90 Global Capability Centers (GCC) have been established, where work on research and high level services is being done. With the presence of these companies, the youth of the state are getting the opportunity to work at the global level. Technical training is being given to the youth under the skill development schemes of the government.
