Resident doctors in Himachal will be on indefinite strike from tomorrow, know what are their demands?
Resident doctors in Himachal Pradesh will be on indefinite strike from tomorrow. This decision has been taken by the Joint Action Committee of Resident Doctors Association, State Organization, Medical and Dental College Teachers and Himachal Medical Officers Association after a meeting with Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu this afternoon. Let us tell you that recently the ambulance workers had gone on strike in Himachal, hence now the strike of resident doctors can put the patients in trouble.
In fact, RDA has demanded that the termination decision taken against Dr Raghav Nirula should be cancelled. Apart from this, a demand has also been made for FIR against the culprits in the incident that took place inside the IGMC premises.
What is the demand of resident doctors?
RDA demands that action should be taken against the culprits in case of incidents of mob intimidation inside the campus. A case should also be registered against Naresh Dasta, who threatened to kill Dr. Raghav Nirula and forced him to leave the country. RDA had held a meeting with Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu regarding this. The Chief Minister has given assurance of conducting an investigation in this matter once again and considering the demands of the doctors sympathetically, but despite this the doctors have decided to go on strike. Today, on 26th December, more than 3000 doctors of the state remained on mass leave, due to which health services deteriorated badly and patients had to face problems in OPD services.
Most of the doctors remained on leave even today
In fact, today most of the doctors of the state remained on leave, due to which people from far-flung areas reached IGMC Shimla and other hospitals of the state early in the morning in the hope of treatment, but they had to return home without treatment. In Paonta Sahib today, local people took out a rally in favor of Dr. Nirula who was terminated. During this rally, the protesters and local BJP MLA Sukhram Choudhary also raised the demand to cancel the termination of Dr. Raghav Narula. Apart from this, Dr Narula’s mother has also raised questions on the government’s action.
