Operation Sindoor-Mahadev changed strategy, India destroyed the entire terror network

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Friday that in the year 2025, India has added a new and decisive chapter in its strategy against terrorism. He said that for the first time the country has taken strict action through separate targeted operations against both those planning and executing terrorist attacks.

‘Zero tolerance’ policy towards terrorism

Shah said that this step strongly reflects India’s policy of ‘zero tolerance’ towards terrorism. Addressing the ‘Anti-Terrorism Conference-2025’ held in New Delhi, Amit Shah praised Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev. He said that through these operations a clear and strong message has been given to the masters of terrorism sitting in Pakistan. According to Shah, this is the first time that the conspirators in a terrorist incident were punished and those who carried out the attack were also neutralized.

The Home Minister said that under Operation Sindoor, India targeted terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. This action was taken in the month of May, just a few days after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, in July, the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack were killed through Operation Mahadev.

Referring to the attack on Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam on April 22, Amit Shah said that 26 people had lost their lives in the incident and its aim was to harm communal harmony in Kashmir as well as disrupt development and tourism. He said that the security forces, acting on the basis of accurate intelligence, killed all three terrorists involved in the attack.

Amit Shah said that the investigation into the Pahalgam attack has been completed and its findings will be helpful in exposing Pakistan at international forums. He also said that this investigation is not an ordinary police action, but an example of an ideal and thorough investigation.

During the conference, the Home Minister also expressed concern over the changing nature of terrorism. He said that the increasing use of technology has made terrorist activities more complex, so agencies will always have to be two steps ahead. For this, emphasis was laid on better coordination, accurate threat assessment and sharing of intelligence.

He expressed the need to implement a uniform Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) structure across the country and urged all states to adopt it soon. Also, the updated crime manual, organized crime and weapons e-database prepared by NIA was also launched.

In the end, Amit Shah said that with increasing economic progress, India’s challenges will also increase. In such a situation, all the central and state agencies will have to work in the spirit of “Team India” to create a strong and impenetrable anti-terrorism mechanism.
