Nifty 50 top gainers today, December 26: Titan Company, Nestle India, Hindalco Industries, Cipla and more

Indian equity benchmarks closed lower on December 26, with selling pressure seen across sectors. The BSE Sensex declined 367.25 points, or 0.43%, to settle at 85,041.45, while the Nifty 50 slipped 99.80 points, or 0.38%, to end the session at 26,042.30.

Despite the overall weakness in the market, select heavyweight stocks managed to close in positive territory. Here are the top gainers from the Nifty 50 index (as per Trendline).

Titan Company closed as the top gainer, rising 2.1% to ₹3,992.
Nestle India ended higher by 1.0%settling at ₹1,272.60.
Hindalco Industries gained 1.0% to close at ₹872.90.
Cipla finished up 0.7% at ₹1,506.
NTPC rose 0.5%closing at ₹324.10.
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation ended 0.3% higher at ₹234.50.
Adani Enterprises closed up 0.3% at ₹2,229.90.
JSW Steel advanced 0.3% to ₹1,094.40.
Dr Reddy’s Laboratories gained 0.3%ending at ₹1,269.30.
UltraTech Cement also closed 0.3% higher at ₹11,794.
