Gujarat Govt: Gujarat is taking big steps towards strengthening its position in the field of medical equipment manufacturing. GIDC has announced to develop a special medical device park in an area of ​​336 acres at Nagalpar in Rajkot district. This park will be a modern industrial ecosystem integrating the entire value chain from manufacturing, testing, product development, research and export.

Will help in starting production soon

According to officials, this park is being developed keeping in mind the needs of India’s rapidly growing medical device center. Plug and play basic facilities and sector specific infrastructure will be provided to the industries here. This will help investors and entrepreneurs to start production as soon as possible.

Why only Nagalpur for medical device park?

Nagalpar has been strategically selected for this project. Major ports like Kandla (198 km), Mundra (243 km) and Pipavav (125 km) are just away from here. Due to the proximity of the port, export logistics will get a lot of convenience. Besides, with the help of Rajkot Airport, air connectivity with major cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore will also be possible. This project is just nine kilometers away from National Highway-27. With the help of National Highway, this project gets connected to cities like Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Delhi.

Industries will get these facilities

Modern and useful facilities will be developed in the Medical Device Park for the industries. The capacity of the water supply system proposed for the project will be 3.5 million liters per day. Land has also been reserved for a sewage treatment plant and a 66 KV sub-station for uninterrupted power supply. A common warehouse and logistics center is also proposed here, which will strengthen the supply chain.
