In today’s time when theaters are filled with violence, gory wars and dark thriller films, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is a refreshing and cozy romantic film released under the banner of Karan Johar. Story: Love, marriage and a Croatian twist
The story of the film revolves around ‘Ray’ (Karthik Aryan), who runs a successful wedding planning agency in America with his mother Pinky (Neena Gupta). Ray is handsome, cheerful and plans the happiness of others through marriage. The twist in the story comes when Ray comes to India for a wedding and on his way to Croatia he meets ‘Rumi’ (Ananya Panday).
First meeting, slight bickering and then gradual love – the story initially seems like a typical Bollywood love story. But the real magic of the film lies in its twist. What ultimately stands in the way of Rumi and Ray’s love? Will Ray be able to plan the biggest ‘wedding’ of his life? To know this you will have to go to the cinema theatre.
How is the film: A visual treat and a blend of emotions
The film has everything that is the hallmark of a big Bollywood masala film.
Scene and Location: The cinematography of the film is amazing. The locations of Croatia have been shot in such a wonderful way that as soon as you see them on the screen, you will feel like going on a holiday there.
First half vs. Second quarter: The first half of the film is very colorful and light, where the story progresses slowly. Sometimes it seems that nothing new will be found, but in the second half the film picks up its pace. The emotions here run deep and the ups and downs in the story keep you engaged.
Costume and Music: A lot of work has been done on the outfits of Kartik Aryan and Ananya Pandey. The songs are poignant and the background score suits the mood of the film.
Acting: Karthik’s hard work and Ananya’s new avatar
Kartik Aryan: Kartik has once again proved that he is one of the most energetic and charming actors of Bollywood. Her looks and her body will definitely be appreciated by the audience. Even in terms of acting, he has breathed life into the character of Ray.
Ananya Pandey: Ananya looks quite ‘mature’ in this film. The determination shown in his performance is commendable. This film has the potential to take his career graph up.
Supporting cast: As always, Neena Gupta has shown ease in her character. Jackie Shroff has graced the screen with his presence. Apart from this, social media star Chandni Bhabhra (famous for her mimicry of Alia Bhatt) has grabbed everyone’s attention with her small but impactful role.
directing and writing
Sameer Demolition’s direction is impressive. He has used the chemistry of the actors and locations very beautifully. Karan Srikant Sharma’s writing is good, although the story could have been a little tighter in the first part. The comic punch of the film is excellent which keeps you laughing every now and then.
