Fire broke out in Timber Market, Pul Patra, Bhopal, 4 people injured while trying to extinguish it.

A fire broke out in the Timber Market located in Pul Patra, Bhopal at around 3:45 am on Saturday. First the fire broke out in a furniture shop, which spread to the saw machine and within a short time the fire engulfed three places. While controlling the fire, the wall of the sawmill collapsed, resulting in injuries to four people, including two employees. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital. The saw machine which caught fire is said to be owned by Anjum Bhai.

At the same time, 22 fire vehicles of BHEL and police along with Municipal Corporation’s Bairagarh, Fatehgarh, Mata Mandir, Junkyard and Kolar fire stations were busy extinguishing the fire. More than 50 tankers of water have been poured to extinguish the fire.

4 people were injured in extinguishing the fire

Eyewitnesses said that the first fire broke out in the Bhopal Decorator showroom located in the Furniture Market at around 3:45 am today. The fire also engulfed a nearby sawmill, causing it to flare up further and become extremely difficult to control. During this period the sawmill shed collapsed twice. While extinguishing the fire, 4 people including Junaid and Javed of Umrao Dulha were injured. A crowd of people gathered to extinguish the fire and flames were seen rising from far and wide.

There was a fire in the saw machine two months ago also.

Please note that this is not the first time that this incident of fire in a saw machine has taken place. Two months ago also, an incident of fire in another sawmill near the sawmill was reported. During that time the fire continued to rage for about an hour and five small fire vehicles brought the fire under control. In fact, at that time the BHEL administration was informed that two out of five fire engines were faulty, due to which they were kept in emergency. However, the fire was brought under control at that time.
