Bangladesh violence: Attackers storm rock singer James’s concert, hurl bricks and stones

Bangladesh Violence – Violence in neighboring Bangladesh shows no signs of abating. Islamic extremists are targeting innocent people dailys, with minorities being the primary targets. On Friday night, an Islamic mob launched a major attack on a concert by James, also known as Nagar Baul, one of the country’s biggest rock stars, in Faridpur, Bangladesh.

The attack occurred during the 185th-anniversary celebration of Faridpur District School, where James was scheduled to perform. A large crowd had gathered for the event. James was expected to take the stage around 9 PM, but before he could, a mob of outsiders stormed the venue.

The mob began misbehaving with the event organizers and security guards. The event quickly descended into chaos. The rioters destroyed chairs and the stage, and attacked several people with bricks and stones, injuring many.

At least 20 attackers were involved in the violence.

The number of people who entered the event with malicious intent is estimated to be at least 20. Most of the attackers are believed to be from Faridpur. The accused first attempted to climb onto the stage and take control, chanting slogans against the cultural program and music event, escalating the situation. Seeing the deteriorating situation, James was quickly and safely escorted away.

Attackers fled after facing resistance.

The students present at the event strongly resisted the mob of rioters. When the situation worsened, the attackers fled. Due to the deteriorating law and order situation, around 10 PM, the event committee coordinatorDr. Mostafizur Rahman Shamim announced from the stage that James’s concert was being canceled on the instructions of the district administration.
