1 big good news for women in Bihar, government gave relief!

News Desk. The beginning of the new year is bringing the message of relief and security for the women of Bihar. The state government is going to start women special pink bus service in Nalanda district from January 1. The objective of this initiative is to provide safe, reliable and dignified travel facilities to women, girl students and the working class.

Nalanda will start with two pink buses

Two pink buses will be operated in the first phase in Nalanda district. The special thing about these buses will be that only women passengers will be able to travel in them. Not only this, the responsibility of driving and operating these buses will also be in the hands of women. This means that both the driver and conductor will be women, which will give additional safety and confidence to women during the journey.

Service is already running in many districts

Pink bus service has already been successfully started in major districts like Patna, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga and Purnia. This service has received positive response from women in these districts. Based on this experience, the government is now expanding it to other districts.

Focus on women’s safety

According to the Transport Department, the Pink Bus service has been specially designed keeping in mind the housewives, working women and girl students. Questions have often been raised regarding the safety of women in public transport, hence this initiative is being considered a big step towards providing an environment to women to travel without any hesitation.

Expansion will happen in a phased manner

At present, more than 20 pink buses are being operated in the state under the first phase. The government plans to introduce more than 110 pink buses in different districts in the second phase. With this, women special bus service will be available in most of the districts of Bihar in the coming time.
