Democracy put to shame in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, CM Sohail beaten up by security personnel; There was an uproar throughout the country

Pakistan News In Hindi: A new controversy has emerged regarding the state of democracy in Pakistan. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has alleged that he was pushed and assaulted by security personnel in the Punjab Assembly. A video of this entire incident is going viral on social media which has created a stir in the politics of Pakistan.

According to the information, this incident happened on Friday when CM Sohail Afridi was entering the Punjab Assembly complex with his representatives. It is alleged that the security personnel of the Assembly tried to stop him from going inside. During this time the situation became tense and pushing and shoving started.

Not democracy but a situation like martial law.

It is being told that when the situation started worsening, CM Afridi’s representative Fateh Ullah Burki came forward to intervene. During this time, the security personnel also allegedly misbehaved with Burki. After some time, Burki was released after the intervention of other officers.

After the incident, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi reacted sharply. Issuing a statement, he said that elected representatives are not treated like this in any democratic country. At present, there is a situation like martial law in Pakistan, not democracy.

The situation was soon brought under control

Afridi claimed that democratic institutions were being weakened in Pakistan and elected leaders were being deliberately humiliated. He said that this incident is proof that democracy in the country is in serious danger.

However, Pakistani officials have rejected these allegations. Officials say that no leader suffered any serious injury in this entire incident and the situation was soon controlled.

Increasing political tension between opposition parties

It is noteworthy that at present there is a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government in Punjab province and Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz is the Chief Minister. Whereas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is in power and Sohail Afridi is the Chief Minister there. In such a situation, this incident is also being seen as increasing political tension between the ruling and opposition parties.
