‘Police Manthan 2025’ started: Chief Minister Yogi held a meeting with senior police officers, given ‘Guard of Honor’

Lucknow, 27 December. A two-day conference of senior police officers started in Lucknow from Saturday with the aim of further strengthening the law and order in Uttar Pradesh and deciding the strategy to deal with future challenges. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the conference on the first day and made a high-level review of the law and order of the state. The Chief Minister reviewed the reforms, innovations and strict action taken by Uttar Pradesh Police in the last 7-8 years.

In the meeting, there was extensive brainstorming on security, good governance and effective control of crime. In the conference, the changed perception regarding policing in the state, concrete improvements in law and order and strategies adopted for crime control were discussed in detail. Senior officials presented before the Chief Minister the technical and administrative innovations implemented over the years.

A major agenda of the meeting was to prepare a clear roadmap for future policing. In this, special focus was given on topics like organized crime, cyber crime, women safety, communal harmony, speedy judicial process and use of modern technology. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed the officials that the policy of zero tolerance should be implemented more strictly in matters related to law and order and the feeling of security among the public should be further strengthened.

He said that the foundation of good governance rests on strong law and order. It was also discussed in the conference that what are the challenges regarding law and order facing Uttar Pradesh at present and how the police will have to make themselves more capable to deal with them. At the end of the conference, it was agreed to prepare a clear and effective roadmap for future policing in the state, so that steps can be accelerated towards making Uttar Pradesh a safe, well-organized and crime-free state.
