Is ‘The Night Agent’ season 3 coming in January 2026?
Everybody’s been talking about The Night Agent ever since Season 2 hit Netflix back in January 2025. That fast-paced spy thriller with Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland hooked millions – twists, betrayals, and edge-of-your-seat chases kept viewers glued. Now, with the holidays winding down, the big question popping up everywhere is whether Season 3 lands in January 2026 or not.
Confirmed Release Date for The Night Agent Season 3
Netflix dropped the official word earlier this month: The Night Agent Season 3 arrives February 19, 2026. All 10 episodes hit the platform at once, just like the previous seasons. This puts it a bit over a year after Season 2’s premiere on January 23, 2025 – a pretty quick turnaround for such a big production.
Back in the summer and fall, rumors swirled about a possible January drop. Some reports even pinpointed January 22 as the target date, lining up nicely with Season 2’s timing. Those guesses made total sense given how filming wrapped up mid-2025. But Netflix shifted things to mid-February, probably to fine-tune the massive international shoots and effects-heavy sequences.
Sneak Peek at Season 3’s Storyline
The new season dives right into high-stakes territory. Peter Sutherland, now a full-fledged Night Agent, gets pulled into a mission tracking a young Treasury agent who bolted to Istanbul after taking out his boss and grabbing classified files. Things escalate fast – dark money schemes, hired killers on his tail, and run-ins with a tough journalist digging too deep.
Action spans the globe: Istanbul kicks things off with a tense stadium sequence, then jumps to Mexico City, Washington D.C., New York, and the Dominican Republic. Showrunner Shawn Ryan called it an “adrenaline-fueled thrill ride,” with Peter facing the heavy toll his job takes – questioning how far he’s willing to go and what it’s costing him personally.
A short teaser trailer came out with the date announcement. It shows Peter spotting his target in a packed soccer stadium, whispering urgent warnings as tension builds. Pure Night Agent vibes from the jump.
Who’s Back and Who’s New in the Cast
Gabriel Basso leads again as Peter, digging deeper into the character’s isolation and moral gray areas. Returning faces include:
- Louis Herthum as shady intelligence broker Jacob Monroe
- Amanda Warren as handler Catherine Weaver
- Fola Evans-Akingbola as Chelsea Arrington (now a series regular)
- Albert Jones as Deputy FBI Director Aiden Mosley (promoted to regular)
- Ward Horton in his political heavyweight role
Fresh additions shake things up: Stephen Moyer, Jennifer Morrison, Genesis Rodriguez, David Lyons, and Suraj Sharma as the fugitive agent. One notable absence – Luciane Buchanan’s Rose Larkin skips this season, putting the spotlight squarely on Peter’s solo ops and new partnerships.
