Video: CM beaten up by security personnel in Punjab Assembly, representatives also misbehaved
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Sohail Afridi was Assaulted: A shocking video of Pakistan’s Punjab Assembly has surfaced, in which security is seen assaulting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and his supporters. This incident took place when Afridi along with his supporters entered inside the Assembly building.

In a video viral on social media, security personnel can be seen pushing and beating Sohail Afridi’s representative and senior Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister Meena Khan Afridi inside the Punjab Assembly. When Meena Khan intervened and tried to save her party (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) workers, the security personnel dragged her away.
In the video clip, Sohail Afridi could be heard asking the security personnel, “Yeh tumhare baap ka maal hai, jo haath laga rahe ho (Is that your father’s property, which you are misbehaving with him).” Meena also said, “He is my CM, how can you push him.”
According to Pakistan’s Express Tribune, at the Punjab Assembly, security officials blocked the entry of Afridi and his supporters. However, later entry was given to those people whose names were already in the approved list). A large number of Afridi’s supporters entered the assembly, causing ruckus. On Friday night, Sohail Afridi was not allowed to enter Lahore’s Liberty Chowk area, where the party was planning to hold a public meeting, Dawn reported.

Afridi is in Lahore to lead PTI’s proposed street agitation and was expected to hold a public event at Liberty Roundabout in the evening. PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, in a post on Twitter, said that he and the KP Chief Minister were present at Liberty Chowk, but alleged that Punjab Police was stopping them from proceeding.
