Lucknow, 27 December. Amidst the political turmoil over a meeting of Brahmin MLAs of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the BJP.
Akhilesh Yadav said in an ex-post that the infighting in the Uttar Pradesh BJP may appear to be the result of ‘rebel meetings’, but its real reason is that the news of deletion of names of 2.89 crore voters in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list has spread among the BJP MLAs. The SP chief claimed that as per the statement of the Chief Minister himself, about 85 to 90 percent of the voters who were cut off are BJP’s own supporters.
The reason for the infighting in Uttar Pradesh BJP may apparently be a ‘rebel meeting’, but the real reason is that the news has already been spread among the BJP MLAs that the names of 2.89 crore voters have been deleted in SIR.
According to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, ‘one year left’, 85-90% of this will be his own…

While presenting its political and mathematical analysis, Akhilesh said that if 85 percent of 2.89 crore is also considered, then this number comes to around 2 crore 45 lakh 65 thousand. When this figure is divided by the 403 assembly seats of the state, then on average about 61 thousand votes are reduced per seat. Its direct conclusion is that Bharatiya Janata Party will get about 61 thousand votes less proportionally in every seat of Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, BJP will not be able to cross the double digit mark, let alone form the government.
The SP chief said that BJP MLAs are trying to give the message by holding separate meetings that neither the BJP government, nor the organization, nor their allies are listening to them, due to which they are not able to get any work done. In such a situation, when an evaluation survey is conducted on the basis of their performance before the elections, they will prove to be a failure.
SIR has made BJP fall into the pit dug by itself.
He said that this is the basic reason why people, who had reached the level of rebellion due to dissatisfaction, have now united and started giving their clarification. The rest of the MLAs are facing the brunt of corruption by a few select people in BJP in the form of splashes of defamation. He sarcastically said that BJP’s SIR process has made BJP fall into the pit dug by itself.
