A latest video of senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari is going viral on social media, in which he has adopted a very strict and controversial attitude. In this video, Suvendu Adhikari has directly talked about teaching ‘Gaza like lesson’ to Bangladesh, on which now the ruling party of the state TMC has taken him to task.

What is Suvendu Adhikari’s viral statement?

In the video that has surfaced, Suvendu Adhikari has taken a tough stance citing about 100 crore Hindus. He said that Bangladesh should be taught the same lesson as Israel has done to Gaza. Not only this, Suvendu also made his point strongly by mentioning the ‘Operation Sindoor’ conducted by India against Pakistan. His statement is being seen as a direct attack against the Muslim community.

TMC calls Suvendu ‘new Hitler’

After this statement, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s party TMC has opened its front. While sharing this video on its social media platform ‘X’, TMC has termed Suvendu Adhikari’s thinking as ‘fascist’. The party says that BJP has made hatred and bigotry its identity. TMC alleged that Suvendu is openly advocating genocide and annihilation of an entire community, which is extremely dangerous.

Questions raised on police action and laws

TMC has also expressed surprise that no legal action has been taken against Suvendu Adhikari so far. The party sarcastically wrote that no FIR has been registered against Suvendu, who considers himself ‘Hitler’, nor has he been arrested. TMC raised the question that despite such hate speech, why a stringent law like UAPA was not imposed on him? This issue has now sparked a new debate in Bengal politics.
