Rahul Gandhi’s big attack: ‘Modi is strangling the poor for his billionaire friends’, uproar over MNREGA!
New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again launched a scathing attack on the Central Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sharing a video on social media platform ‘X’ (Twitter), Rahul Gandhi alleged that the government is plotting to end the MGNREGA scheme. He said that the government has only one objective behind this step and that is to kick the poor in the stomach. This statement of Rahul Gandhi has created a stir in the political circles.
Direct attack on the rights of the poor
Rahul Gandhi explained in detail in the video that MNREGA is not just a scheme but the lifeline of rural India. He claimed that the real objective of weakening the scheme is to completely erase the ‘right to employment’ of the poor. According to Rahul Gandhi, the government wants to snatch away those rights which were given as legal guarantees to the villagers during the UPA government.
State power and billionaire friends
Giving further edge to his attack, Rahul Gandhi said that the central government wants to steal the economic and political power from the states. Making a serious allegation, he said that by cutting the budget of MNREGA or eliminating it, the Prime Minister wants to put all that money in the pockets of his ‘billionaire friends’. According to Rahul, this policy is part of a bigger conspiracy to hand over the country’s resources into the hands of a few people.
