Material
- Flour – 1½ cups
- Powdered sugar – 1 cup
- Butter – ½ cup (softened)
- Milk – ¾ cup
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
- Baking soda – ½ tsp
- Vanilla or pineapple essence – 1 tsp
- Pineapple juice – ½ cup
- Pineapple pieces – ½ cup
- Fresh cream or whipping cream – 1 cup
- Powdered sugar – 2 to 3 tablespoons
- Cherries – to garnish

Method
- First of all, preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes. Beat butter and powdered sugar well in a bowl until the mixture becomes creamy. Now add milk, pineapple juice and essence and mix well.
- Sieve flour, baking powder and baking soda and add it to the batter and mix gently.
- Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Check by inserting a toothpick, if it comes out clean then the cake is ready.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- When the cake cools down, cut it from the middle. Put cream and pineapple pieces in the middle. Spread cream on top and garnish with cherries.
