This statement of Zelensky has come amid Trump’s efforts to end the war. Whereas Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said that a slow but steady and concrete process for peace is going on. Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a positive signal to US President Trump on Ukraine’s latest peace proposal. On Putin’s behalf, his foreign affairs adviser Yuri Ushakov has spoken to US officials by telephone. But Russia has given no indication of agreeing to withdraw its troops from conquered areas of eastern Ukraine.

Russia occupies 90 percent area of ​​Donbass
