540-degree camera system for passenger safety

The biggest and most exclusive update to the XUV 7XO is its 540-degree camera system. While the XUV700 features a 360-degree camera, the new system gives the driver a wider view of his surroundings. This will be beneficial when parking and driving the car in narrow spaces, which will improve the driver’s visibility.

Theater mode in the car

Mahindra has also confirmed an in-car theater mode for rear seat passengers in the XUV 7XO. This feature allows passengers to connect their personal devices and stream content. The entire system will be managed by the Adrenox Plus software suite, which manages infotainment, connectivity and vehicle functions.

New exterior design

The teaser clearly shows several important changes in the exterior of the SUV. It features a refreshed grille with newly designed LED DRLs, projector headlamps and vertical chrome elements in the front profile.

Talking about the rear design, it features a full-width connected tail-light bar with inverted L-shape elements. Apart from this, new dual-tone alloy wheels, modified bumpers and new paint options give the SUV a fresher and more attractive look.

A triple-screen set-up for the first time

Mahindra has made major changes to the interior of the XUV 7XO. It will be the company’s first petrol-diesel SUV, which will feature a triple-screen dashboard layout.

Apart from this, the cabin gets a panoramic sunroof, triple-tone dashboard and a new center console. Revamped upholstery, revised door trims and a brown-tan steering wheel have been added for a premium feel.

The top-spec AX7L variant seen in the teaser also gets features like Boss Mode seating, new air vents and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

No change in engine

The Mahindra XUV 7XO is likely to retain the same powertrain options as the XUV700. It will get a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Both the engines will be offered with manual and automatic gearbox options. Also, an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) option is expected to be available on select variants.
