Major rail accident in Jamui: Goods train laden with cement derailed, three coaches fell into the river.

New Delhi: A major train accident occurred in Jamui, Bihar on Saturday. According to the information, a goods train laden with cement derailed. Due to which 3 coaches fell into the river and about 10 coaches overturned. Although there has been no news of anyone being injured in this accident, due to the overturning of the coach, rail traffic on Kiyul-Jasidih railway section has been completely disrupted.

As soon as information about the incident was received, there was panic in the railway administration. It is a matter of relief that till now no casualty has been reported in this accident. Efforts are being made by the Railways to restore the track as soon as possible.

According to the information, this accident happened near Telwa Bazar Halt railway station in Jamui district. A large quantity of cement was loaded in the goods train. Due to the sudden derailment, many coaches became unbalanced, out of which three fell into the river and about 10 coaches overturned.

Both up and down lines on the Kiyul-Jasidih railway section have been affected due to the derailment of the goods train. Due to this, the operation of many trains passing through this route has been disrupted. Passengers are facing inconvenience.

Railway officials reached the spot

As soon as information about the accident was received, senior railway officials and technical teams reached the spot. The work of removing the coaches from the track and repairing the damaged railway line has been started. Railway administration says that work is being done rapidly to normalize rail traffic.
