Unknown spinner from Gujarat stumped Virat Kohli, got a priceless gift in return! ‘King’ won everyone’s heart
Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025: Virat Kohli was batting in excellent form in Delhi’s match against Gujarat in Vijay Hazare Trophy. In this match played in Bengaluru, he seemed to be moving towards another century, but Gujarat’s left arm spinner Vishal Jaiswal dismissed him for 77 runs. 37 year old Kohli adopted an aggressive stance from the beginning of the match. He put pressure on the Gujarat bowlers by hitting fours and sixes. Scored 77 runs in 61 balls, but got caught in Jaiswal’s spin. The ball took the outer edge of the bat and went into the hands of the wicketkeeper and the stumps shattered.

Kohli kept looking at the pitch, while Jaiswal jumped with joy. Delhi lost wickets in the last overs, but saved the match and Gujarat missed out on victory.

After the match was over, Kohli talked to Jaiswal. He gave autograph on the ball on which Virat was out. Apart from this, both of them also got photographed together. Everyone smiled after seeing this scene.
27-year-old Jaiswal shared the photo on Instagram and wrote that the journey from watching Kohli on TV to taking his wicket on the field is incredible. He further wrote, “Taking Virat Bhai’s wicket is a moment I had never imagined. Very grateful for this game and this opportunity.”

Kohli’s performance in Vijay Hazare Trophy
Kohli played the first two matches of the tournament for Delhi. Scored 131 runs against Andhra Pradesh and 77 runs against Gujarat. He left from Bengaluru airport on Friday evening. There is a possibility that he will not play the next few matches.
Let us tell you, the ODI series against New Zealand is starting from January 11. The team announcement is expected next week. Kohli may probably play one more home match before the series. Rohit Sharma also played two matches for Mumbai, in which he scored 155 runs in one. He has also returned to Mumbai now.
