According to news agency PTI, Pakistan’s famous international Kabaddi player Ubaidullah Rajput has been banned indefinitely by the National Federation. He played for an Indian team in a private tournament in Bahrain earlier this month. Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) imposed this ban after an emergency meeting on Saturday. The federation found Rajput guilty of traveling abroad to play tournaments without obtaining the required No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the federation or other concerned authorities. Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) secretary Rana Sarwar said Rajput has the right to appeal before the disciplinary committee.

Sarwar said the federation took serious note of the fact that Rajput not only went abroad without an NOC, but also played for the Indian team, wore its jersey and even wore the Indian flag after winning a match. However, Kabaddi player Rajput said that it was all a misunderstanding and he was never told that the team he would play for would be the Indian team. But, still they are guilty of breaking the rules of NOC. Pakistani players have already apologized in this matter.
