Dhruv Shorey (5 centuries)

The Vidarbha batsman Dhruv Shorey has been in absolutely wonderful condition, giving his fifth consecutive century in List A cricket. He has got the same number of consecutive List A hundreds as Jagadeesan with five tons each. The super performance of Shorey started in the previous season’s knockout stage, where he hit a hundred thrice in row in finals and semi-finals, quarter-finals. He scored an unbeaten 109 off 77 balls against Hyderabad in Rajkot on Friday during the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025-26. Once associated with CSK, the 31-year-old has all of a sudden turned out to be the most reliable player in Indian domestic cricket.

Narayan Jagadeesan (5 centuries)

Before Shorey, N Jagadeesan left an indelible mark in the record books, notching up most consecutive List A hundreds, during the VHT 2022-23. Besides, he made the history of becoming the only player to score five consecutive List A tons. His phenomenal run included a record-breaking 277 against Arunachal Pradesh—the highest individual score in 50-over cricket—which still stands today. He capped the season with a staggering 830 runs in just eight innings at an amazing average of 130.33. Jagadeesan, while playing for Tamil Nadu, has become one of the most reliable batters in all formats of the game.

Karun Nair (4 centuries)

Karun Nair, who has been overshadowed by other players, managed to enter last season’s elite group of batters who have hit most consecutive List A hundreds. Nair, who played for Vidarbha, scored 122112111and 163 against Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Chandigarh, respectively, in VHT 2024-25. Then he made 44 not out, creating a world record for the most consecutive List A runs without being dismissed. His record-breaking feat in VHT 2024-25 was followed by a strong performance in SMAT and Ranji Trophy 2024-25, which eventually led to him being called up for the Test during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in England earlier this year.

Devdutt Padikkal (4 centuries)

Devdutt Padikkal, a remarkable talent at just 20 years of age, made his entry into the cricket world with a bang, scoring four consecutive centuries and getting himself into the list of most consecutive List A hundreds, thus proving the existence of a prodigy. He started his run with a score of 152 against Odisha, then he scored 126 not out and 145 not out against Kerala and Railways, respectively. His impressive run ended with a 101 against Kerala in the VHT 2020-21 quarterfinal. All these centuries made him one of India’s best young top-order batters.

Kumar Sangakkara (4 centuries)

The iconic Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Sangakkara is the only player who has hit four List A centuries in international cricket and that too, the legendary cricketer, was at the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2015 in Australia in his last year of one-day cricket. His streak against Bangladesh, England, Australia, and Scotland showcased even in the latter part of his career with him being the second-highest run-scorer in ODIs after Sachin Tendulkar. But recently, Virat Kohli has taken over the throne of highest run-getter in ODIs from Sangakkara.

Alviro Petersen (4 centuries)

Former South Africa opener Alviro Petersen also finds himself among the players with the most consecutive List A hundreds as he smashed four successive centuries in domestic one-day cricket. A batter with great technique, Petersen’s exceptional run occurred in 2015 for the Highveld Lions and he was awarded the SA domestic one-day player of the year having been a significant contributor to his team’s championship triumphant run.
