First praised, now called anti-constitutional, Digvijay Singh changes stand on RSS
The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Delhi was held on 27 December 2025. In this meeting, the party discussed issues ranging from organization to MNREGA and other topics. Just before this big meeting, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh had shared a post on social media praising Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and RSS. This post put the party in a difficult position. Now, a day after sharing this post, Digvijay Singh changed his stand and called BJP and RSS anti-constitutional.
In his post, Digvijay Singh tried to explain under the pretext of the power of the organization how a grassroots worker reaches high positions in RSS and BJP. At the end of his statement he also wrote Jai Siya Ram. Since this post, the question is arising whether he wants to increase his closeness with BJP. Some experts believe that Singh wanted to send a message to his own party and was raising questions on senior leaders. Whatever be the reason, one thing is clear that this post of Digvijay Singh has put the Congress party in an uncomfortable situation.

What was written?
Posting on his social media account, Digvijay Singh wrote, ‘I found this photo on Quora site. Very impressive. How a grassroots volunteer of RSS and a worker of Jan Sangh became the Chief Minister of the state and the Prime Minister of the country by sitting on the floor at the feet of the leaders. This is the power of organization. Hail Siya Ram.’ There was a lot of uproar on this post yesterday but now Digvijay Singh has attacked BJP and RSS.
Stand changed in one day
Digvijay Singh said today, ‘I have been saying this from the beginning that I am opposed to the ideology of the Sangh. The unions neither believe in the Constitution of the country nor the laws of the country. The Sangh is not even a registered organization nor does any law of the country apply to them. However, Digvijay Singh praised the strength of the Sangh’s organization even today. He said, ‘I praise their organizational ability because an organization which is not even registered, has become so powerful in the country that the Prime Minister of the country says from the Red Fort that it is the largest NGO in the world.’
What did you say about Congress?
When Digvijay Singh was asked whether Congress’s organization is weak? So in response to this he said that I just want to say that there is scope for improvement in the organization of Congress. He said, ‘Congress Party is a party of movement. Congress party is smart in converting every issue into a movement but we are weak in converting that movement into votes. On the question related to the central leadership, Digvijay said, ‘My views are reaching the Congress leadership. That’s why you’re questioning me.’ Digvijay Singh said that there is a need to take the organization to the booth level. However, he did not answer the question about what he said in the CWC meeting.
