Comparison of RSS with Al-Qaeda… atmosphere heated up due to Congress MP Manickam Tagore’s rhetoric
digital desk- Once again the statements of Congress leaders have created a political storm in the country’s politics. After the statement given by former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh regarding the Sangh, now a controversial statement of Lok Sabha MP Manickam Tagore has come to light. Tagore compared Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) with the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, after which the Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed strong objection. Manikkam Tagore said that the work of RSS and Al-Qaeda is similar. Both of them work to spread hatred and create an atmosphere of fear in the society. He said that there is no need to learn from organizations spreading terror. Congress is a party that follows the ideology of Gandhi and does politics of love against hatred.
BJP gave sharp reaction to Tagore’s statement
Tagore made this statement in the context of Digvijay Singh’s statement in which he had talked about the organizational power of RSS. Tagore clearly said that even if RSS and Al-Qaeda are organized, Congress is not going to learn anything from them. BJP has reacted sharply to Tagore’s statement. BJP national spokesperson Nalin Kohli said that comparing RSS with any Jihadi terrorist organization is highly condemnable. He raised the question whether the Congress leadership agreed with this statement. Kohli demanded Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi to clarify their stand on this issue.
Digvijay Singh had shared the photo of PM Modi and RSS
This entire controversy started with Digvijay Singh’s social media post on Saturday. Digvijay Singh had given an example of the organizational strength of RSS by sharing an old picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After this, sharp reactions were seen inside and outside the Congress. However, amid the growing controversy, Digvijay Singh clarified that he had only talked about the strength of the organization and not praised the ideology of RSS or BJP. He clarified that he is a staunch opponent of the policies of RSS, PM Modi and BJP.
