According to Dhaka police, the two main suspects in the murder of student leader Sharif Usman Hadi have fled across the border into Meghalaya, India. This claim has caused a stir.
Police say that two people who allegedly assisted the suspects have been detained by Indian authorities. A report in the Bangladeshi newspaper The Daily Star, citing a press conference at the DMP Media Centre, shared this crucial information.
Murder Suspects Reach India
A major revelation has emerged following Hadi’s murder in Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s Additional Commissioner SN Nazrul Islam told the media that the two men involved in Hadi’s murder, identified as Faisal Karim Masud and Alamgir Sheikh, crossed into India via the Meghalaya border with the help of local accomplices.
The Bangladeshi official stated that the suspects crossed the Haluaghat border into India. He said that the suspects were received by a person on the other side of the border and then traveled towards a city in Meghalaya with a taxi driver.
