Fate chooses the brave, not the cowards… Uddhav Thackeray gave a big message to the workers before the BMC elections.

New Delhi: In view of the fears of a possible break in Shiv Sena (UBT) before the BMC elections, party chief Uddhav Thackeray held an important meeting at Shiv Sena Bhawan in Dadar on Sunday. Senior party officials, corporators and grassroots workers participated in this meeting. Uddhav Thackeray said in clear words that BMC elections are a “do or die” situation for Shiv Sena (UBT) and mutual disunity will not be allowed at any cost.

BMC we have to win at any cost

Addressing the meeting, Uddhav Thackeray said that BMC is not just a local body, but an issue related to the soul of Mumbai and Maharashtra. He appealed to the workers to rise above personal ambitions and give priority to the victory of the party. Uddhav said that only Shiv Sena can provide real security to Maharashtra and this is the reason why conspiracies are being made continuously to weaken the party.

Touching the sentiments of the workers, Uddhav Thackeray also raised the issue of snatching of election symbols. He said that when the bow and arrow were taken away from us, then imagine how we got the torch. Making an emotional appeal to the workers, he said that no one should switch parties and should once sit on his chair and try to understand the situation. Uddhav said that betrayal harms not the party but the Marathi identity.

Congress and BJP accused of deception

In his speech, Uddhav Thackeray launched a scathing attack on both Congress and BJP. He said that BJP misused Shiv Sena and his experience with Congress was also disappointing. Uddhav said that despite political compulsions, Shiv Sena (UBT) has formed an alliance with MNS to protect Marathi identity. He admitted that not every decision in the alliance is as per one’s wish, but sacrifice is necessary for a larger objective.

Giving a clear message to the workers, Uddhav Thackeray said that some wards have to be left in the alliance. He said that you want an alliance, but it is not possible without leaving your ward. He explained that joining MNS is an emotional and ideological decision, which will strengthen the Marathi identity. He also raised questions on the tendency of immediately switching to another party after not getting a ticket.

Fate chooses the brave, not the cowards

At the end of his address, Uddhav Thackeray said in an enthusiastic manner that efforts to destroy Shiv Sena are not new. He warned that if Shiv Sena becomes weak in Mumbai, Maharashtra will suffer. He said that the names of the candidates will be decided and it is not possible for everyone to get tickets, but the most important thing is that the party’s ward wins. Citing the example of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Uddhav said that the saffron flag has seen many struggles and history is witness to it, fortune always favors the brave, not the cowards.
