Yogi government is going to start a scheme like Kisan Samman Nidhi, survey work started
UP News: To provide relief to the farmers across the country, the Modi government at the Center is running the Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. Under which Rs 6000 is given to the farmers’ accounts through three installments. Now the Yogi government of UP is also going to start a similar scheme. For which survey work has started. People are being surveyed door to door.
During the survey, IFSC code and mobile number are also being taken from the people along with their account number. Those who do not have accounts are being asked to open accounts. Let us tell you that farmers get Samman Nidhi every three months. Similarly, now the Yogi government is preparing to send money directly to the accounts of the power loom weavers of the state.
Most weavers live in these districts
Let us tell you that the districts of Uttar Pradesh where most weavers live include Varanasi, Azamgarh, Mau and Ghazipur districts of Purvanchal. Most of the weavers live in these four districts. Seeing the plight of weavers, the Yogi government has prepared a new scheme to empower them economically. Under this scheme, which will be started on the lines of Kisan Samman Nidhi, a fixed amount of money will be given every quarter to the registered power loom weavers. This amount will be sent directly to the weavers’ bank accounts through DBT.
Handloom department team is doing survey
Let us tell you that for this scheme, the teams of Handloom Department are collecting information of weavers by doing door to door survey. During this survey, weavers are being asked for their bank account number, IFSC code and mobile number. So that there is no problem in sending the assistance amount. Actually, Yogi government is working to provide the benefits of this scheme to all the registered weavers. So that weavers can also take their business forward more strongly. With the implementation of this scheme, along with financial relief to the weavers, the power loom industry will also get new energy.
Data of weavers will have to be sent by 31st January
According to the information, the handloom department will send the data of weavers to the government by 31 January 2026. For which the employees of the department are continuously busy completing the survey work. During this time, the employees of the Handloom Department are collecting data of power loom weavers from all the districts of Purvanchal including Azamgarh division.
